The kids go back to school this week, golf is back on TV, and the Wings are on a heater. Life is good. Enjoy!

Honestly it was better than we thought. The Bay Golf Club (Wyndham Clark, Shane Lowry, Ludvig Aberg) battled The New York Golf Club (Rickie Fowler, Xander Schauffele, Matt Fitzpatrick). The stadium was unreal, the energy was high, and although they started stiff, the players weren’t as awkward as expected.

The first 9 holes were “triples,” where each team of 3 rotates alternate shot. Felt like this didn’t allow any of the players to stay sharp between shots which added to the drama. It was fast paced and had a brought in all the personalities of golfers.

The back 9 was singles and wasn’t quite as engaging. Less back and forth with the players energy was flat.

We could have gone without the DJ Khaled interview but overall a tremendous show and successful broadcast. You can catch TGL again next Tuesday evening, 1/14.

And you thought you had to be the best athlete to get that NIL money? No so fast.
