There’s been LOTS of movement in the golf world since the PGA TOUR kicked off recently so we figured we’d dedicate this edition to…well…golf.

It’s tough to keep up with all the equipment drops and we don’t pretend to be gear-junkies but wanted to keep you in the know.

Plus with all the Greyson talk we’ve been highlighting lately, they went ahead and sponsored 2 LIV teams. We’ll take the credit on that one. Skadoosh.

Let’s start out with a bang

Whether it’s a practical joke or trying to impress the lunch patio at the clubhouse, using these caps could be the move in 2025.

Mizuno Gives you the Tools to be Your Own Boss

It seems every year a new putter innovation takes over. This year we’ve already seen a rash of center-shafted putters, last year Scotty switched from a mallet, in 2023 we saw the longer counter-balanced putters after Wyndham won the US Open. Wouldn’t it be nice if you didn’t have to buy a brand new putter each year to keep up with the breakthroughs?

Mizuno is getting us 1 step closer with their new M.Craft putters. You choose the hosel, and can pair it with 3 different backplates to increase MOI. Seems like a good idea for those who like to tinker. For someone who loves the excuse of needing to buy new clubs all the time, then this is not the one for you.

New ProV1’s Are Here

Image: Titleist

GolfWRX dives into the 2025 ProV1 and ProV1X that will be available in stores on 1/25. The TLDR is “more speed off the tee, more iron control, and more spin around the green.” Titleist does it again.

And a quick recap of how the ProV1 compares to the X:

ProV1

  • Mid-flight

  • Low spin on full-swing shots

  • High short game spin

  • Softer feel

ProV1x

  • Higher flight

  • More spin on full swing shots

  • Highest short game spin

  • Firmer feel

What we’re listening to…

After highlighting Prunk in last week’s newsletter, we went digging for more. We found this 2hr set from 2019 that is more easy background music for the workday. Highlight is a vinyl-only track at 47:30.

Enjoy that snow!
